Artec has been delivering advanced cryptographic and microprocessor chip designs (ASIC, FPGA, PC104+, RFID) since the 1990s, with an early penchant for green computing solutions such as Free Software, terminal clients and wireless devices. Artec's dynamic team has designed products for sectors as diverse and challenging as automotive and medical diagnostic equipment, inventory tracking solutions, military cryptographic communication devices, public information kiosks and computer products.

Artec Group commits part of its resources to support the future academic focus on creating new and alternative methods for product development as well as for bringing to life breakthrough technologies.

Artec Group values the importance of scientific approaches in the R&D process and as a proof of its R&D direction, Artec has partnered with the Tallinn University of Technology to form a Competence and Technology Consortium ELIKO www.eliko.ee.
